Dr Maria Kamm wins the woman of the year awards

Dr Maria Kamm emerged the winner of the Tanzania Women of  the year Awards, as a recognition for her enormous achievements and contribution in the eduacation  sector.

The award nominees were Minister for Lands,Housing and Human Settlement Development, Prof Anna Tibaijuka, Minister for Legal and Constitutional Affairs , Dr Asha-Rose Migiro; a prominent retired teacher and former Member of parliament ,Ms Maria Kamm and Same East Member of Parliament, Mrs Anne Kilango Malecela.

Each was handed an award, but it was Ms Maria Kamm who turned out as Woman of the Year and given an award.The award that was organized by the Global Publishers and General Enterprises Limited, took place on the 29th  of March 2014 at  African Dream hall on the outskirts of Dodoma,Tanzania.The awards seek to recognize Tanzanian women in different sectors who have made significant changes in their communities and the country as a whole.
