Malawi and Tanzania government delegations,in presence of team of mediators met in Maputo to discuss Lake Nyasa border dispute
Delegations from the Malawian and Tanzanian governments met in Maputo on Thursday 20-03-2014 to discuss Lake Nyasa border dispute, in the presence of a mediation team headed by former Mozambican President Joaquim Chissano. The other members of the mediation team were the former presidents of South Africa and Botswana, Thabo Mbeki and Festus Mogae. The delegations from the two countries met in the Mozambican capital Maputo again after the first negotiation failed in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi, at the end of last year.
